I found these traps to be very unreliable. Bait cleaned off the trigger with no catch or trap fired without a catch. Very frusterating.
I'd trade them for the wood traps with the yellow trigger in a second. ____________________________________________________ Thank you for taking the time to submit an online review for the Victor® Power Kill Rat Trap. We are sorry to hear you had difficulty with your trap. When you find bait has disappeared from your trap without setting it off it is possible that either insects or juvenile rodents may have actually eaten it. Their light weight would not trigger the Power Kill Rat Trap. To help prevent this to try different types of bait or even use water in the baiting well. Rodents are also attracted to nesting supplies; try tying a piece of thread to the pedal. We would like the opportunity to discuss this matter to you in detail. This trap works graet on Chipmunks. Fill the bait holder with sunflower seeds and bye bye chipmunk.
